The philosophy of this program is to make the students into “inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk takers, knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, well-balanced, and reflective.”
This is a five year program from Grade one to five. Students move from reading sentences to reading short stories, writing compositions; solving more complex arithmetic problems and mastering simple multiplication and divisions; studying Middle East’s geography and history. They are also introduced to French and are prepared for taking exams in Grade four. In Grades four and five students start taking Term Exams twice a year and move on to taking algebra, graphs, order operations, problem solving, geometry, measuring area and volume; identifying parts of speech, tenses, understanding plot, characters, different genres, word roots, focus on physical sciences and anatomical functions.
This stage covers the following themes:

– Where we are in place and time.
– How we express ourselves.
– How the world works.
– How we organize ourselves.
– Sharing the Planet.
